This is a Bill Schertz beam, a Tom Weber slide throttle,
a Tracy Crook plenum although not made out of wood,  a Jerry
Hey Muffler with a Dave Leonard ME109 side air scoop. The outer
slides are machined from Teflon for a slippery fit. The length of the
runners only changes about 4 inches which should be enough
going from 7500 take off RPM to 5500 cruise RPM.
The Lancair Legacy has a wide cowl so this should
fit fine.

How do you get the fuel in, or is this for the Rand Cam sportplane that
doesn't use fuel ? :)

I thought you would never ask :) The easiest way is to make the shoe
box big enough to contain the injectors and the fuel rail.
These are the old type large diameter injectors. The new slim
RX8 type are easier to fit side by side in a two inch tube.
