Anybody got any ideas on how to do this with out
destroying the planet carrier?

Paul,
An arbor press should be able to push them out.  I would guess they were
inserted from the side with the hole by an automated press.  Try
pressing from the other side first.  You may have to heat the carrier a
little with a propane or Mapp torch.

Oh if it were only that simple :) It is blind hole. You can't see both ends
of the tiny pins. Ford don't want you taking these apart.
