Since I'm concerned about the size of the hole in
the rotor housing I
thought I might try a smaller hole (about one inch
diameter) along with
the regular intake holes.
   I sliced the manifold about two inches back from
where it mounts on
the engine and knocked out the freeze plugs and
hogged out a bunch of
the inside, as per attached photo.
   I will seal the center divider and adapt it for
the slide throttle and
injectors.
   Do you think it will help, or hinder???

Is that cast iron Hurant? I don't recognize it. With
a one inch hole
in the rotor housing you won't notice the HP
increase.

It is all aluminum. I wouldn't attempt to hog out cast
iron on my drill press.
