Paul,
We're now ready to supply liquid-cooled rotary engines, 40, 80, 180 and
270
HP (plus turbo-charged) for aviation experimental applications. The LCR
engines are charge-cooled rotors, while the LOCR engines are oil-cooled
rotors (a' la Mazda). These are new engines, not rebuilts. Our web-site
(http://www.rotaryengines.ca) tells all! Our prices are reasonable and
delivery is from 4-6 weeks depending on configuration required.
The engines have steel-lined trochoids with aluminum housings. Anyone
wanting information or prices can reach me at g.payne@rotaryengines.ca. If
you can put this in the newsletter I'd appreciate it. We are setting up
dealers and OEM's to handle the engines for us. No big hoopla with this
launch, just a quiet push with interested people world-wide.
George
Have you shipped any George? Got any customer names, addresses,
phone number or email addresses that people can contact?

Dear Paul
Are these guys for real if so where have they been hiding?

Well the jury is still out. Apparently they did some sort of financial
deal with Wankle Gmbh as far as tooling and manufacturing rights.
The downfall of Wankel Gmbh was the defective wear coatings
on the rotor housing were flaking off. I bugged George Payne about a year
or so ago about what they were going to do about it and that is
why you see steel rotor housing liners mentioned on their
web site. Hopefully they have the problem solved as Mazda has
now shipped well over two million engines with steel liners.
If they were smart they would have copied Mazda right down
to the material and manufacturing process of the apex seals.
That stuff MUST work together or you can kiss your **** goodbye :)
I am sure any patents have expired years ago.
BTW You notice the picture of Dave Atkin's Mazda powered RV6
on their web site? :)
Also I think at least one of the pictures on their web site
was first published here as I personally took the picture when
I was at the Wankel Gmbh factory in 1999.
Here is my picture and the shrunk version that appears on their web site :)
I think the Atkins picture came from the Atkins web site.
Anybody that would do something like that is a bit suspect.
Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Paul
Yes, we can supply names of people using the engines. We are doing business
with Wankel AG, and Atkins has given us permission to use his aircraft
picture. Does that help?
George
OK! Give us a few so some interested people on here can contact
them.
How about permission on my picture George? :)
If your nice to me I have a bunch more I'll let you use :)
Just credit the source of the pictures on your web site.
Question. Is the LOCR652A-Fi turbo normalized set up
a Mazda based engine? Looks like it to me.
Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Paul,
I wasn't aware that the picture you're talking about was yours. Sorry, I was
under the impression it belonged to Wankel. I will give you credit on the
website. If you have more, great. I have no problem giving you credit for
any we use. You likely have more (and better) pictures than we do at this
point.
The LOCR engines are Mazda based, using some new components we purchase from
them, and fabricate the rest. They're good engines and they work. They're
"private brand" engines built to our specifications.
Once I get permission for people to contact customers using our engines I'll
pass the names & contact info to you.
George
Here are a few more pictures.

George [Payne],
Those housings look like aluminum castings, correct? If so, this should make
the engines substantially lighter than Mazda. Looking at your website
though, the smaller engines sound quite light, but the bigger ones don't
seem as light as one would expect.
I'm not that far from you -- just north of Barrie -- and would be interested
in paying you a visit, seeing your facility and getting the full story from
you. I'm sure a lot of people here would appreciate such a report.
Regards,
Gordon.
