paul,
how much does that beast weigh and how long is it?
Steve

Francois, what does your 3 rotor weigh?

My guess (less the cooling) rads around 350 to 400 pounds
The bare 3 rotor less the gear box  is 260. I think
Francois's constant speed prop gear box is under 40 pounds.
The starter weighs about 7 pounds. The alternator about 8
pounds. Then you have the mag intake manifold and some
sort of exhaust.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.

The G-300 as it is now weighs about 360 lbs.  However, we have to change to
a bigger backplate to accommodate the wider type 2 dynafocal mounts.  The
new backplate is not ready yet and will weigh a little bit extra.  We are
expecting a final weight around 375 lbs (without cooling installation).
