Has anyone used a remote mounted belt driven water pump?  I remember
something about a Toyota pump a few years back.

There has been a number of remote water pumps, but Don Dunbar trailed a
Toyota one I think. From memory it was marginal.
I guess your considering remote, to get away from the height of the stand
pump - from memory I don't think there has been something of outstanding
success.

Hi Joe,
I was part of the trial of the Toyota pump done by Don Dunbar, The Al
alloy Toyota pump, from a 6 cyl Supra as I recall,
 out-performed the Series V RX7 pump, turned slower and needed less
head and had higher flow. It was an excellent installation, where the
water fed directly into the center axis of the impeller.   The reason
he did not progress with it, was because Don bought 2  RX 8 engines
through George (downunder),  It was still in his workshop when I was
last there a couple of months ago, and he will be back from China next
week, I believe. So I will ask him to respond to your questions, if you
wish.

installation on file.
