Mazda has done away with the four port RX8 engine.
They reduced the power of the six port RX8 engine
to 212 HP when used in the auto TX version of the RX8. Probably
to ease the high RPM load on the torque converter.
I always thought it was too expensive making two
entirely different rotary engines. One four port for the automatic
and another six port for the stick shift.

Time for an all aluminum 16B with more low RPM torque
or a 390 HP turbo engine. If PTP can do it so
can Mazda.

Also way past time for a rotary in the MX5 Miata.
