There is a larger market by about 1000:1 for rotary aircraft
engines than the market for jet engines. Rotary engines are a lot
more relevant to the core automotive business than jet engines
are to Honda Civics.

The least thing Ford could have done was borrow one of these
Mazda rotary powered aircraft and park it next to an RX8 in
the Ford pavilion. IMHO Ford is mismanaged by unimaginative and
therefore incompetent people. It takes vision to run any business.
Obviously the Ford CEO does not have it.

Ford is too busy heading for Chapter 11 to mess with frivolities like rotary aircraft engines. Notice the RX8 being eclipsed by turbo four piston engines galore in Mazda's lineup.

Turbo four? Boring. Anybody can turbo a four. Does it make 391 HP?
The rotary can.

What differentiates Mazda from the rest of the world is the rotary.
I don't know when they are going to wake up to that fact.
Without the rotary, Mazda is just another econo box car company.
