The Corrola is a small engine of about 100 HP.
You need about 30 gallons a minute as I recall at
around 6000 RPM. Don't forget to put back pressure
on the pump when you are testing it.

Hi Paul and Doug,
had a long discussion with Don Dunbar about the data we collected
with the Corolla 4A FE pump.
The test data was : pump driven by electric motor at 3000 rpm,
pumping thru the 13b block.
Results: Output of just over 100 liters per minute
[26 gallons per minute] maintaining head
pressure of 1.5 meters [60 inches of water or 2 psi].
[12 inches of water is about .45 psi]
The pump pictured in Autoparts Warehouse looks identical. I said
previously, in error, that it was from a Supra, it may well be fitted
to Supra engines, but it is OEM on Corolla engines. At present, I just
happen to be replacing the head gasket on my son's 4A FE Corrola and it
is that pump for sure.

Thanks for your info. and time on this. I would have to agree with Paul
that 2 psi or 1.5meters of head is very very small. Perhaps used in a
Corrola the pump's performance is better. I wonder what type of radiator
Don had hooked up in his test.
