BTW 6000 RPM is the point where the loads on the
rotor
bearings are at a minimum. Therefore it is the best
cruise RPM.
It is were the combustion loads equal the rotor
centrifugal load.

Has anyone looked at how rotor weight will effect the
bearing load.

It seems reasonable that if you lighten the rotor it
would require a higher RPM to experience the same load
as the heaver slower rotor.

Are the RX8 rotors lighter than the older 13B rotors.
This may partially explain the higher red line in the
RX8.

As the rotor weight goes down for a given displacement
the minimum load point goes up in the RPM scale. Rotor
weight limits the red line RPM of the engine so the
red line also goes up.
