I met Mark in the wilds of Utah half way from LA to Denver
at a freeway off ramp yesterday. 1200 mile round trip for each of us.
We shifted the P-port engine from his van to mine and went our
seperate ways. I unloaded the engine this morning and pumped up the
water jacket as Mark did and sure enough the second rotor intake is
making noises as the air escapes. I will turn a hollow insert just
big enough to fit inside the tube with a small hole in it and see
if that changes the sound to verify the leak position.

If so it is for sure a leaking p-port insert. I am not sure
if it is the one I repotted with JB Weld or the one John potted
at Mazdatrix with the high temp high buck white epoxy. In any
event I think I can fix it without tearing down the engine
by pulling a vacuum on the water jacket and let the leak suck
in some JB Weld
