 How would you build the pink shaft? Start with a tube, weld on
flanges, anneal, machine the flanges/bearing surfaces, heat treat and
polish the bearing surfaces?
 Do we use a two piece seal on the front?
 Shaft and flanges are 4330, 4130, ...?
What kind of casting would be affordable but strong enough for the case?
I would like to work on the tooling of this product. An old crank and a
case would be nice to have. This is a 360? Should we use the 540 to
handle 300 hp motors?

Contact a Lycoming overhaul shop and ask to buy a crank
that is not cracked in the area you need. Machine off most of
the counter weight by grinding or perhaps with a carbide
cutting tool.

Yes you could also do the same thing with the case. They have
plenty of cracked cases unless they are welding them up
and reselling them :)

From the looks of it this git sew could be using the Ford
C6 auto tranny planet set :)
