Maybe you should consider something like this.
One of the subtle advantages of the slide throttle you may
be over looking is it will go with many configurations
of runners made from stock tubing bends. This is a good example.

Those are the drawings I was referring to. I am thinking this will
be the intake of the future. I want to work on it myself and Geir
might be interested too. Sorry about the confusing e-mails. It was
a series of unfortunate events, all engineered mindlessly by me.

Certainly works well with a low stock cowl. Lots of tig welding is
required however. For a higher custom cowl it is cheaper just to
use two 180 degree bends.
I predict TWM will be making Teflon slide throttles within
a year or two. If not TWM than somebody else as there is no
question about the aerodynamic advantage. What has been holding
them up all these years is the cost and the fact a grain of sand
can jam a ball or roller bearing slide throttle. The Teflon will
embed the grain of sand and not be affected by it.
BTW the injectors can be located anywhere you want them
with this design. The best place is near the bell
as it is away from the exhaust and give slightly
better BSFC.
