The normal plugs for a 2nd gen 13B are BUR7EQ leading and BUR9EQ
   trailing.
   I bought a set of hotter plugs BUR6EQ leading and BUR8EQ trailing from
   Mazdatrix.
   I think my climb RPM and max. cruise RPM are down about 50.
   Any logic on why a hotter plug would cause this, or maybe it's something
   else, or is it my imagination?

   Kind of amazing Perry. As I recall hotter plugs lead to shorter
   plug life and perhaps detonation.

   Can you go back and repeat the test?
   Can you get colder plugs?


   BTW if you want to fly down for Seven Stock I can pick you
   up at Camarillo if you would rather land there.

Hotter plugs will increase detonation as the chamber will be not release
heat fast enough. When I tune RX7 for track or quarter mile I use colder
plugs and increase the injector duty cycle.

If you want to increase throttle response and longer plug life use Denso
Iridium 27 (both T and L)
