and let anybody join? Those automated ones are a pain in

I would really like to see hard design info on high power
high speed ducted fans. No question low speed ducted fans
work.

This is a channel hover craft I took to France
quite a few years ago. More fun than an E-ride at Disney

Yahoo is free, plus it's easy, plus it's a pretty efficient format.
Everyone can participate without going through the moderator with every
message. Also you can just go to the website and read all the threads
and messages and post messages yourself -- rather than getting messages
by email and replying by email.

This is much more efficient. You go to the website and read only the
threads that interest you instead of getting everything in your inbox.
Also the group website has a section for files, pictures and links that
anyone can put up, so you have all kinds of info in one place, besides
the messages.

I did set up the group so that anyone can participate. You may still
need to register with Yahoo and get a Yahoo password, though. I have no
control over that part of it. I guess Yahoo just wants to be able to
show its advertisers how many eyeballs they're getting. A lot of
websites do this, including AVweb, most newspaper websites etc. That's
just the way it is in an advertiser-supported medium. (I've ranted about
the evils of advertiser-dominated media before, so I'll spare everyone...)

Come on over, I'm sure we'll have a lively discussion soon. I'm going to
try to put up some very good info on high-speed ducted fans. There's
lots of good technical literature out there.
