take a look at the Mikuni HSR 42 and 45 mm flat slide carbs used as a
replacement for Harley carbs. They have the slide running on rollers.

That barrel idea makes it difficult to mount trumpets on the inlets!

Hi All,
That is correct, a pair of HSR 42s IIRC.
Don is in China on business at present. He had a lot of success with
the Revmaster slide carb on the 6 cyl Jabiru, picked up 300rpm over the
stock Bing. That led to twin HSR 42s for the RX8 engine. The continuing
computer problems with FI and the worry of high pressure fuel in the
cowl were significant factors in the decision.
