Rick, Consider asking ask Paul to design a lightweight, S-beam
mount for your 20B Cozy. After you see the design you can decide
if it is something you want to go ahead with. I predict you will

Can someone please fill me in on the design details of the S-beam mount?
I am afraid I dont know anything about it and would really appreciate
finding out the details and the design philosophy etc. Since I will
probably never see anything from CCI, I might have to get busy on that
one. If its light weight and strong...I am VERY interested. Thanks to all!

It is a design based on the Questair Venture motor mount.
Namely a wide beam is placed under the CG of the engine gearbox
prop combination. Each end of the beam has a large rubber bushing.
The bushings used are the same as those used in the Questair.
An off the shelf industrial mount that cost about $7.
The rear engine mount is a strut with two rod ends one
attached to the engine and the other to the firewall.
The Questair used solid rod ends but we use low cost
industrial rod ends that are cushioned with rubber.
This strut can be threaded on both ends with left and
right threads. This allows the engine down thrust angle to
be varied and to optimize for top speed.
