Well one thing is the Ellison has holes in one side of
the needle only. The needle rotates to change the mixture.
To make my original system more like the Ellison all the holes
in the Teflon would have to be very small and be the same size.
A slot in the spacer would open more and more holes to the fuel
port as the the slide throttle was opened. I'll do a 3D soon.

Yes, that's a very clever way to adjust the mixture. As the spray
bar is turned, some of the holes turn away from the vacuum side and
stop spraying fuel so the mixture is leaned.
This wouldn't work obviously with your idea, but you have the ball
valve to control fuel flow for leaning.
The way you just described it sounds very good, with lots of small
holes in the Teflon and a slot in the aluminum spacer. I hope you
draw a picture.
The Ellison still has an advantage in that the fuel is sprayed into
the direction of the airflow, instead of at 90 degrees. However,
with your system you don't have a spray bar or anything else inside
the throat to obstruct the flow.
It is a pretty neat idea and I hope someone tries to make a
prototype to see how well it will work.
As for fuel leakage, I wonder if the part of the slide where the
fuel comes through could be sealed some way? Or just seal the
outside perimeter of the whole thing with gaskets or O-ring?

I recommend that people seal the whole slide with 1/64th thick
(16 thou...016") gasket material. Obtainable from McMaster Carr. You
don't want fuel dripping on your cracked exhaust manifold.
The gasket material also supplies the slide clearance
for smooth operation. Speaking of which you can get
14" x 15" Teflon coated steel backing cookie sheets in Walmart
for about $5 that will reduce the friction to half of standard.
Enough for both sides of the slide.
Teflon on Teflon is twice as slippery :)
If you don't want to do that McMaster Carr also sells
thin Teflon sheeting etched on one side suitable
for bonding to aluminum with epoxy.

It's obvious that this will give much better atomization than one hole.
I'm wondering though if there might be any advantage to giving the
slot in the spacer a ramp profile,e tapering down at the ends. That
way the end jets get a little less fuel than the middle, where you
have the most airflow.
