I also forgot to mention about assembling the engine with
out e-shaft and rotors and pressure testing the coolant
system to 30 psi to check for leaks. However if this is done
right the large area of JB Weld bonded to the vertical walls
of the water jacket make coolant leaks unlikely.
Anybody else have any comments?

In regard to recent comments in regard to welding PP.
I recently inspected a couple of engines with welded-in PP - they were only
welded on the outside of the housing but the welding was quite extensive as
it fed a large bridged PP with a 4 point attachment flanges welded onto the
outside of the housing - no apparent distortion!

Welding is totally unnecessary as JB Weld is good to 4000 psi
shear strength. No way will that tube comes loose short
of a jack hammer. Welding could warp the rotor housing ruining
it. Why risk it since you are using JB Weld to seal it anyway.
Do you have JB Weld down under? If so get some and try
it.
