be any advantage to using them with prop output speeds of 2000 rpm
driven by
a rotary wankel engine?

So you think we will be seeing these shark fins on tractor airplanes as

I like Carter's landing gear research most of all. I did a research
project with a Russian scientist back in 1982 and he introduced me to the
world of ferro-fluids. Basically iron particles suspended in oil. I am
interested in incorporating the stuff into my landing gear system. Looks
like Carter beat me to it. The stuff goes from oil to taffy consistency
depending on how much electricity you run through it in micro secs. The
consistency of the medium moving through a simple orifice would be
controlled by the voltage input linked to a de acceleration sensor thus
defining the rate of the piston travels.
