       The lake also has this problem and they have weights

           that they slide in and out of compartments in the front and rear.

       Ken,
       I thought of a movable weight some time ago but looks like someone beat me
       to it. My thought was a tube with the weight internally or externally of the
       tube, with the weight being slid backwards and forwards, as and when
       required, operated by a trim wheel system.

Weight shift has been around since the 30s, maybe earlier.
Concord shifts its fuel load back and forth between tanks in flight to account for trim change
