    I'm somewhere between 2200-2300 hours under a rotor with a rotary...
    other
    than the Hobbs for maintenance items, I've been lax in actually
    logging the
    personal book correctly!  Just over 4000 when you add in the fixed wing
    hours!  The most recent gyro sold quickly, so I've got an old
    TriPacer to
    piddle around in now... my mind is just about finished engineering
    the next
    gyro I'm about to build!  Even with the TriPacer, I'm still hooked on
    gyroplane flight!  Once you've chased coyotes, deer, and wild pigs
    down a
    creek bed for miles at 20' agl, you're priorities of flight enjoyment
    change!!

Way to go Gary! I'm itching to get back to my 12A Turbo powered
tractor gyro project. At least the turbo won't overspeed at 20'.

Howdy John!!  Yep... Birdy and would have a bunch of fun chasing each other
up and down the creeks and under the treelines!!!  Slab wing controllers
have chastised my/ our flying style as "COMPLETELY UNSAFE!"   Most don't
have a clue about the safe flying envelope of the gyro!!  Yep... statistics
say I'll have an engine out some day (and I'm WAY over-due!)... but so far,
ALL of my hours in the Rotary Rotor have had perfectly reliable engine
operation(s).  I still practice my engine out procedures anyway!!  (even
when I'm 20' agl!)

good luck with your tractor build... slinging wings is addictive!!  Rotary
Engine performance is just as addictive!
