Jim Downing's been running a rotary LMP2 car. I should have read the
release closer. This one is a p****n engine.
ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGG.
Agree with you re Mazda focusing on racing cars with bodies they sell.
Acura is doing the same thing in ALMS. I'm not sure what they hope to
gain either.

Who cares what a piston engine econo box does.
What set Honda up with the fast and furious crowd was the low
and wide CRX. Then Honda came up with the tall and narrow
2006 Civic and Honda wonders why they are being ignored.
The Mazda 3 is in the same category. Tall and narrow.
Front drive is an evil necessity. IMHO the best econo
box is as quiet and smooth as a Rolls Royce and gets 40 MPG
as I sit parked on the freeway listening to music. Who needs
.9 G cornering, 0 to 60 in 5 seconds and a rough and noisy
ride to commute in day after day. I got an RX8 sports car for
that.
The ONLY thing that sets Mazda apart in the VERY WIDE automotive
world is the rotary!!! Wake up Mazda!!! Get with the program.
