This is the best animation in terms of showing both the
            shaft and the
            gear. The crank is misleading in relation to the actual way
            the engine
            is built, but easier to understand than a lobe hidden inside
the
            rotor. -Jeff

            Yes. That is very very good. Break through in animating the
            Wankel IMHO. However the rotor is shown speeding up and slowing
            down which does not happen.

        It doesn't seem to speed up nor slow down on my computer.  In
        fact, I wish it would go slower.  Does anyone know how to adjust
        the speed of an animated gif?

    Nevermind..  I figured out that I can adjust frame rates in gimp...

The slowest illustration is just right for my brain, though the
second-slowest works, too.
