Thomas, most plans, using an 0-320, have the prop flange at around
38 inches. I recommend standardizing the distance to 40 inches for
most rotary installations. Doing so provides some very useful
space between the engine and firewall. Note that a p ported engine
will probably weigh less than an 0320 FWF. The absolute minimum is
36.75 inches if you want to be able to RR the water pump without
pulling the engine. If for c.g. reason the prop flange distance
needs to be some amount greater than 40 inches, we can do that. So
far only one engine installation has required more than 40 inches.
There are no serious c.g. issues swapping in the rotary but you will
probably have to fine tune with battery placement. Jerry

39 inches as I recall. The RV10 is probably an exception as
it is designed for a six.
