paul jerry asked me to forward this to you he was going to be
off line. top bolt holes center to center is 40 1/4''  bottom
bolt  holes center to center is 403/8'',  from  bottom of lower
mount to top of upper mount is 29 1/8'' these from inside of
hard points ( these are inside the square tube measurements )

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.

The bushings at the firewall are rotated to vertical because of the
swing out engine mount.  Our mount will not have this feature so the
bushings should be perpendicular to the fire wall.   Might be a
problem.  What does the firewall look like?      jerry


What you are proposing is going to be hard to do Jerry.
Those sockets for the swing out motor mount are very ingeniously
extension of the four extruded longerons. A brilliant way of
feeding the motor mount loads into the fuselage structure. Say
what you will about Jim Bede's business ethics but he was a
brilliant engineer.

Do it like the plans.

I just checked Bob's web site and sure enough there are the vertical
bushings on the mount that I built.  I don't remember it all.  I
wonder how I accomplished that?  Jerry
