Bingo Jerry, an article for Kitplanes or the EAA, what a rotary
promotional opportunity.
John Gibbons
That would be alot of fun and it does sound like it would take about a
year, I don't know what time I would be able to devote but my Dad would
be interested since he is semi retired, down to only one job now. But I
think he will quite in about 6 months making him perfect. That being
said, we have recently replaced the gear to a newer, stronger model and
had to replace the leading edge on the center section. The people we
payed to have this artwork done finished with the leading edge about a
1\2 inch shorter than that of the wing. Not very pretty! So, we are
trying to rectify this problem and will need to have a paint job too so
if we did go to show the engine off it wouldn't look like Jed Clampits
do it your-self-er.
The long of the short of it is, great plan, but the plane needs some
work so it will be taken seriously and not distract from the importance
of the engine change.
