I am sorry, I don't.
With this many bolts it might be a spark ignited diesel test engine.
Just a thought.

I suspect it is one of the original NSU test engines.

That was my first thought.
I just could not come up with the early pictures anymore.
Since you think so too, it's most likely one of the NSU versions.
A very early one at that.
One has to appreciate that many different test engines were build.
It is of rather crude design, it has a heavy flywheel. That all points
to it.
For all one knows, it might be one of the very first ones constructed.
Perhaps pre 1960 or just after that.
The people in Cottbus who work on spark ignited Diesels would not
build it like that today. Agreed.
