This is the way I would do it. Louvers in the cowl of course.
Not shown yet. Make a good air racer.

With a little bump to clear the corner of the cooler!
Paul a shallow ramp exit and reverse scoop you could do much better
aerodynamically than the louvers. This was used on quite a few of the
Reno racers. A ramp like raised surface open only at the rear.

If you have it or you can find it.

Anything solid within shouting distance of the back of the rad is
going to restrict the flow through the rad.

Never the less send me a scale Solid Works 3D of what you have in
mind. Don't forget the end of the oil cooler is three or four
inches in front of the firewall.
