Yes Paul,
I have read the entire web site. The Aerochia Legacys including
Greenamyers plane which would have won except for cutting a pylon in
the sport class were using a top of the cowl mounted inter cooler on both
sides. The exit looked like the 20% rule in reverse! I'm not saying it
was the best possible approach but it was working for them. Personally
I'd prefer a side of cowl exit like the Thorpe but smaller. You have
printed the pictures of some of the modern truck hoods using the faired
side exit. I'll hunt for the pictures.

I guess this is the airplane. I did not see any exit ducts
behind the inter cooler bumps. Where were they placed?
The last older picture was taken in 2003 at Sun n Fun.

Yes Paul,
That would be the second Aerochia built plane, I don't remember the
pilot/owners name.
There was a small exit at the rear of the bump for air exit. While not
visible in this photo the
much larger than stock inlet was split with a separator about 10% of the
opening feeding the inter coolers.
My reno photos are on my other computer. I'll see if I have a better
photo. I'm sure the effectiveness was
exit limited.

The pictures are of the Aerochia Greenamyer airplane. Looks close
on the shot with the canopy open and you will see his name painted
on as pilot. These were taken the first year Nemesis showed
up. 2004 perhaps.
Most of the Reno guys don't worry about the inter cooler air exit.
Here are some random shots of the Nemesis Next and other inter
cooler configurations. I guess they all use ADI which is more
effective than an inter cooler anyway.
ADI will work fine for 15 minutes which is about the length
of a Reno race..
