It's time to make some space under the engine for the new
    larger
             radiator and build the inlet.

             So I have made a couple mock-ups of potential designs that will
         allow
             for the new radiator.

             I can't decide which I like better (or worse as the case may
         be), and am
             looking for input. Actually, I will just pick the one that more
         of you
             vote for, so that there will be less of you out there who are
         allowed to
             make fun of the finished product....

             I call them the "Oh Cowl" and the "Smiley Cowl..."

             Opinions?

    Wow Paul,  That looks awesome!  Now if you could only get the computer
    to actually make it for me  :-)

    The voting so far is almost everyone for the Smiley type cowl.  Possibly
    because my play-doh rendition has an uncanny resemblance to Mr. Bill -
    also made from play-doh.

    Well almost. We can make some templates and fill the
    spaces between them with foam. Block sand the foam
    and you are almost home.

    What ever is chosen I can do a final cowl and cooling
    layout.

    Here are some 3Ds with the new rad. Air goes in the
    top and out the bottom to keep the rad cool from
    the heat of the turbo.

    Are you going to keep that crappy motor mount? :) I think
    we can talk Jerry into selling a schertz beam.

Once you get it all figured out I'll bet that Paul can create section
drawings for you to make a buck from, plus drawings for all of the
required baffles...

Are you planning to add air diverters/baffles to maintain the old
13/7?degree rule of thumb
(can't remember the exact number or NASA? source)
for divergent walls to maintain pressure recovery of the inlet?

That old 7 degree rule has been proven to be wrong by Kuchemann
and Weber. The trumpet shape is the cool tip :)
Unfortunately the oil cooler and the inter cooler
are too close to the cowl for that to work well here.
One must compromise by making the hole larger.
