Scan a few PAGES at a time with the same rez if you don't mind
as when I use gimp to scale them down the quality seems to  improves.

Hi Paul;
This paper appears to be a lead-up to the Lemans 1991 cars.
I scanned them in at 300dpi, no correction, stored as jpeg with max compression.
The limit appears to be the quality of the photocopy.

This makes me want to dig a bit more into the Mazda SAE papers...
