The advantage of the shaft is it makes a six rotor engine possible.

Questionable at best. Since it is already possible to produce a 4 rotor
using the taper connected Guru E-shaft, I don't understand the
facination with splines. It would probably cost MORE over all to produce
a shaft this way. The ID's would be cheaper, (if the broach could hold
tolerance), but the exterior spline would have to be very carefully cut
to hold a zero clearance. Even more if the entire shaft was tapered. I'm
not just guessing here either I was a machinist for year and did some
persision broaching. I must admit I just can't see using it as a central
drive for an e-shaft. The multi-piece shaft available from Guru/Extreme
Rotary allows intermediate bearings, and is effectively solid after
bolting up. The taper is by nature a zero clearance item. Cutting and
grinding an e-shaft should be easier than making a 4 cylinder
crankshaft! There are lots of places with the machinery to do this.
There is no established infrastructure for the spline parts. It may
work, I'm not putting down the idea. The point is that it isn't going to
be FUNCTIONALLY better, and could be much worse if not done almost
perfectly. So, if it isn't a lot cheaper or easier why bother? A high
performance (P-port) 4 rotor could put out 400HP without even breaking a
sweat. 400 HP from a package even smaller than a 20B due to the use of a
standard intermediate (center) housing would be tough to beat. I must
admit I am intrigued enough to think of selling my 20B to build one.
This is with parts that are available NOW. Hard to overcome the "now"
part with a new and unproven concept. Kenneth you would spend a great
deal of money making this work, and would have few takers until you
could show a engine with hundreds of hours. Go carefully if you try.
