Paul et al,
    I am a relatively new participant to the newsletter (last April) and
have grown to appreciate the expertise of those that are frequent
contributors.  I have seen Ed Anderson's and Tracy's RVs, have purchased
Tracy's rotary book, and have even met some of you in the engine tent at
Sun 'n Fun. You have all convinced me that the rotary is more than an
"experiment" and is truly a viable aircraft engine whose reliability and
cost can be significantly better than the usual Continental or Lycoming.

    Now the issue.  I live inside of the DC ADIZ and  have discovered
that hangar space is at a premium here, either for building or for
storage. As a result I am now looking at designs with folding wings and
the two most likely candidates are the T-18 (/S-18), and the Mustang II.
Since I have been watching the newsletter  I have not seen comments on
any rotarys in the Thorp T-18.  My carport is finally starting to look
like a garage and I expect that I'll get started building something this
summer ....T-18, S-18, MII or  RV.  Any thoughts you have on the
selection process with regards to the ease of rotary engine installation
would be most appreciated.

Probably a better place for the rad is under the cockpit.

hi Adrian,    i bought a t18 on ebay last year , intending to install a
rotary, but decided i did not want to remove fuel tank and put two new hard
points on the firewall for the eng. mount. also i did not realize how small
the t18 was.  after considering everthing i decided to sell and look for
something a little easier to do.  i think you will find the mustang 2
probably would be an easier rotary installation.   wyo.  walt.
