Buly, How big a flight test area do you have -- 90 miles one way is
bigger
than they grant up here.
Bill Schertz
I got 120 mile radius from 0E0. I asked for the State of NM but the
DAR wouldn't go for it. On the phone he told me he would give me 180
mile radius so that I could fly for an hour at my normal cruise speed
of 180 mph (I'll get there eventually) but by the time he came out with
the paperwork already filled out he had forgotten.

Wow! Up here they give ~25 mile radius
Bill Schertz
KIS Cruiser # 4045
Are you getting ready to fly Bill?
Paul Lamar
Bill you can ask for an extension and if there is a good reason TC will
grant one.
I used to apply for 50nm and had no problems with that. Being based at YYJ
means
operating in class C airspace and they really don't want us there. YCD is
class E and
33nm away so 50nm allows a reasonable range of operation around both
airports.
