Jerry,
If you reverse the slide throttle you can make the housing 2" shorter.
IMHO It is much better to provide attachment of the throttle cable
directly to the slide throttle compared to building some extra bracket.
As you push the throttle control forward the throttle plate
actually moves forward opening the intake.

I have one of these on one of my planes and it works great.
They even make a ninety degree bellcrank for some installations
which also is to be mounted directly to the throttle body.  I
modified the bellcarnk to allow 85mm (3 3/8") of throttle cable
travel for the 29mm of throttle plate travel.       jm2c

This is a VERY simple system. No computer, no sensors, no
floats, no venturi, no fuel injectors, no nothing. Just very
low pressure fuel. The fuel orifice area simply increases with
the air passage area increase. Bigger fuel hole bigger air hole.
There is another simple series valve that controls leaning.

I think I have figured out how to do this with our slide
throttle. No fuel injectors required. In fact other than
a bit of plumbing there are no additional parts.

Here it is. Super simple. A series of progressively larger
feed holes in the Teflon slide communicating a with a fixed
larger fuel hole in the aluminum spacer.
