With the small alternator (Denso $50.00 alternator on Ebay) I can get
the engine height, from the center of the E shaft, down to about 9 1/2-
10 inches. If I side mount the alternator and remote mount the oil
filter and cut off the alternator mount casting from the engine front I
can lower the height to 8 inches.
That small alternator weighs 6 lbs. The one that came with the Renesis
weighs 12 lbs.
The modified exhaust  weighs 11 1/4 lbs. I intend to install a second
heat shield besides the one that is built on it.
The bare Renesis engine weighed 175 lbs.  Karibian
