Paul, Here are some photos of the rear beam engine mount tacked
( little mig) together. This is for the BD4. Still to go is the
lower X. The nice thing about having the rear face of the pan in
place is that one can make sure there is not interference between the
pan and X. In this case, it looks like the X will be below the
pan. I am sending a number of photos (probably too many) so delete
as you see fit. Jerry

These do look nice!
Are you guys using the factory-recommended oil pan bolt torque for the
motor mount bolts, or something nearer the dry torque limit of a 6mm
(or 8mm) bolt? I'm assuming the published oil pan bolt torque for a
Renesis is limited by the fact that most of the bolts are going into
the aluminum housings.

We must or they will strip out :) Those bolts through the beam
all go to cast iron front housing. The rear mount has negligible
load on it. Some times it is down and some times it is up.
A 6 mm bolt is probably good for 1000 pounds tensile or
compressive force in cast iron. Since the main load is a 6 G
landing impact load and the engine is sitting on top of the
beam the bolts are not loaded at all in compression or tensile.
