The valve hole is 7/16th and fuel rail is 3/8th and there are two "O"
rings on the valve. The valve was made from a 1x2x5 inch block of
aluminum. I just ordered two fuel pumps like the attachment I previously
sent you. Karibian
OK that might work. That is connected to the throttle and is the
main metering
supply. So how do you lean it?
Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Karibian,
That needle valve is nifty piece -- it is like the barrel valve in
the Kinsler system, providing fuel metering based on throttle position.
You could also lean it by running a return line out of the top
chamber (where you have a plug now) and into another needle valve,
then back to the tank. As you open that return valve, your mixture
goes leaner. (Paul's original needle valve design would be good for
this -- it flows more as you pull it out).
Regards,
Gordon.
Well if he uses this pressure regulator mounted on the instrument
panel it has a nice knob to lean it and a pressure gage for pilot
feed back.
BTW Hurant, feed the throttle in slowly or the engine will
quit. No acceleration pump. Go to full rich on landing to mitigate
this problem. Here is a 3D I did of Karibian's control.
