Paul you mentioned auto tune for Tracy's system. What is that?

    I don't know much about it. Just hearsay.
    So I will let somebody with experience with it, describe
    it for you.

It it a relatively new feature that Tracy came up with that
automatically adjusts the air/fuel mixture via the EC-2 and EM-2.  You
must have the "autotune" upgrade and an EM-2 for it to work.  I have the
upgrade, but haven't been able to get it to work on my 20B.  Probably
operator error.  The procedure is explained in the EC-2 manual.

Basically, you do the following...

Go into graph mode (buttons 3 & 4)
Then activate "Track Mode" (buttons 1 & 2)
Then set the program knob and mixture knob at the 12 o'clock position
Set  the Mode selector to "0"
and finally (with the engine running)  press the Store button to start
the auto-tune.

You run the engine at each map setting and let the EC-2 "auto-tune" the
a/f ratio.

But like I said, I couldn't get mine to work, so I'm doing the
tuning manually.

I've always been good when it came to mechanical things but put an electron
in front of me and you get a blank stair. That said I always thought it
wouldn't be that hard to take info from the O2 sensor while in the program
mode and just run the engine through the RPM range and have it set the MAP
value for best power. I know Tracy wants to keep as many sensors out of the
loop as possible but you could use it just in setup or give you the option.
The couple of times I've sent my EC2 back for updates he has said my MAP
values were all over the place. I don't have an EM2 and they were just a
twinkle in Tracy?s eyes when I started.
