Mikuni HRS48 is looking good. I'll mount the carbs close to the engine
for good idle and low profile and use a 25 inch long stack.
Mikuni claims 120 HP per carb which is perfect for our use.
If a Mikuni can live on a hog it can live on a rotary.
Thanks for the tip Gordon.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Paul,
It looks like the HSR Mikuni already has a venturi vacuum port --
ready to go for the manual mixture control (although I think it was
designed for another purpose).
Have a look at the diagram where it says vacuum fitting. Just run a
line from there to the needle valve. The other side of the needle
valve will go the float bowl -- but you have to put a Tee in it with
one end of the tee going to static port (ambient air pressure).
Btw, you only need the venturi vacuum from one carb to feed both
carb float bowls.
You can download Mikuni manuals here:

Thinking some more about Dave's suggestion for manifold vacuum. That
should work, except at wide open throttle where there is not much
pressure drop in the manifold. That's why carbs have venturis to
draw fuel out by dint of lower pressure in the venturi, even at WOT.
Anyway, manifold vacuum might work -- won't know until we try it.
But its a moot point since these Mikunis have a fitting ready to go...
Regards,
Gordon.
