     I have an Ameri-King AK-450 ELT that I will sell for $50 + shipping.
     It's going on ebay in a day or two. Drop me an email if you're

     3.8 hours of flight time. Batteries which expire in 2013 are included.

Sounds like a deal, but don't we have to go to the 406Mhz ELTs in 2009?
That's only 18 months away. I'm sure someone can put the ELT to use
right now, otherwise, I'd send off a check right now.

Hi Brian,

In February 2009, the satellites will no longer be listening for ELT's
in the lower bands.  I'm not sure if these ELT's will still be "legal",
but they will be obsolete.  I haven't seen anything that said the FAA
would make us upgrade, but I'm sure they will.
