No the 4 cycle style lectron would work fine for our applications. I just want everyone to know what we are talking about. You could use

***** Hi Bill, any thoughts on the Lectron plastic float bowl sitting over the hot exhaust; I think I prefer a metal float bowl.
Also, it occurred to me that we could replace the float bowl with a metering block similar to the Revmaster or the Ellison, thereby making the carb into a simple low pressure fuel injection system and adjust fuel delivery at the inlet, or as Paul suggested, with an adjustable fuel pressure valve. (The biggest throat Revmaster make is 40mm and the Ellison is very expensive as we need two for Pport tubes) BR, Dave McC

The plastic float bowl isn't really a problem. By the time you might
have a problem, you would be boiling the fuel in the bowl. This
would stop you anyway. If you use carbs at all you better protect
them with a good heat shield. I'd be most worried after stopping
when the heat soak from the exhaust might cause problems.
You MUST shield well or you'll have problems.
