I ran across this item 110135230181. Rotor housings
are stripped of chrome and resurfaced with cermet.

I would be extremely skeptical. Mazda spent millions on figuring
out what works. Try ANYTHING else out at your own extreme risk.
That includes after market apex seals.

They claim that the LeMans race car used this technology - sounds like
someone who has access to this site has started this business.

It is not only what they put on it but HOW they put it on. The only thing
that has a snow balls chance in .... of working is detonation gun coating.
Detonation gun coating is extremely expensive and than must be diamond
ground. It is probably way cheaper to buy a new rotor housing.

BTW I have seen rotor housings from engines that have had a ceramic coating applied
on the rotor. The coating came off the rotor and the rotor housings surface looks
like it was sand blasted.
