Still doing it. It happens when you quote forward.
What email program are you using?
Perhaps our Windows/html expert Harley can figure it out.

Why thank you for the compliment!  But, I have no idea what's causing that!

My first guess is that John is using a font to write his emails that
Paul  doesn't have, so Paul's program is coming as close as possible,
and not being able to translate something in the message is providing
the "Ã?Â" ,

The problem with that theory is that it's not repeating regularly for
any one particular type of character!

John...just to see what happens, send your email in Courier or Courier
New font, and as a text file only.  See what happens.
