Hey, I'm one too! A Velocity builder that is. Working on a 20B powered
SE-RG like Al's. Good luck Chris on the ECU upgrade...I know we're all
anxious to hear how its working for you once you get it back.
And Larry, its good to hear of someone with tools and talent. I wish I
had a CNC too :-) Thats what I did most getting my undergrad. Loved  it.
We all cant wait to see you succeedd in your plane and business
endeavors with rotary parts. Best of luck.

Just food for thought... anyone thought of doing a P-51 style  divergent duct
on the belly of a Velocity for coolant and oil? They can be build  to be very
efficient....

Bulent's cooling system is highly successfully and he is using one
on his fine Cozy. In fact I use it in my book as the right way to
do a pusher cooling system :)

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.

Well, I have been listening to Paul for years now and didn't even  try to use
the NACA's for primary cooling.  Instead, in addition to the top  NACA's I
installed the "old school" armpits scoops that Velocity used to  use.  We are
gonna be channeling air from both scoops to a center area behind the
firewall, but in front of the heat exchangers.  The heat exchanger  for us is
mounted very much like it would be in a car, except at an angle  with the
unit being close to the firewall at the top and angling away from the
firewall at the bottom where the scoops are.  We plan to use the  NACA's for
supplemental cooling items and intake.

Donno if it will work, but we are hopeful.

I believe that NACA experiments have shown that filling a single
plenum from more than one source does not work well.  The problem is
flow reversal through the lower pressure inlet.   Jerry
