I haven't really been following this discussion.
   I love my stock EFI, always starts hot or cold wx, hot or cold engine.
   I have never ever once flooded the engine in my airplane in 8 years /
   650 hours. Maybe because I shut down by turning off the fuel pumps and
   depressurizing the fuel rails.

   I just don't like carburetors.

Are you using the EFI that came with the engine for road/car service?
