       How far do you have the engine from the firewall?  I think
Perry's in
    only a couple of inches... I'm trying to snug mine up as close as
    possible.  Here are a couple of pictures with the engine
positioned...
    Still have to figure out what to do with the Turbo and intake...
Sticks
    up just a little... Also, need to finish the firewall before I weld
the
    MM braces. I want to ensure there is no interference between the
    controls and the MM.

    Are you going to use a jack screw linear actuator as a front strut
    mount. Great idea.
    I think Burt Rutan would be really interested in this. Imagine a
    vectored thrust Long EZ. Should help with takeoff and maybe
landing.
    Should turn like an F35 :)

    Are those turbo fittings aluminum?  Should be steel if I'm not
mistaken.

    Hi Mark
      Good catch.  I'll take a closer look when I start integrating the
Oil
    cooler and Intercooler.  I believe the Oil in line has an aluminum
    fitting but the out line to the sending unit is steel.  The water
lines
    are aluminum.  I haven't  thought much about he lines yet because I
know
    I'm going to have to replace some of them as I integrate the
radiator,
    and coolers.

Sorry if my comment sounded a bit curt, it wasn't meant that way.  But
I've read that you don't want to use aluminum fittings on a
turbo-charger due to the excessive heat.  I have aluminum fittings on
everything fwf, but my engine is n/a.  If you loose a turbo oil line
fitting it could have a disasterous outcome.  Its worth the little extra
weight of SS fittings for the added safety.

 Not curt at all... That's why I joined this group... To receive
feedback both good and bad.  BTW that was good feedback. I did check
them last night and they are aluminum except for the line to the oil
sending unit is steel... Go figure.  I'll be replacing them.
