For sure, the aluminum front cover is something I am interested in
buying.  It is absolutely critical for the single rotor.   Jerry

I second that motion. I already have a stock B/H but I want a
front cover that I can bolt up a barnes (or equivalent) dry sump
pump and maybe we can figure out a way to use mags or one mag.

Tony, I agree with everything except the mag. Mag have problems on high
RPM engines. At least standard aircraft mags do. I've seen the problems
first hand. We never determined if it was, internal coil reluctance or
overheating. We couldn't reliably get over 5000 rpm.

Yes Dave Garber does, but it should be noted that he hasn't revved the
engine over 5,000 rpm. He told me about 4,500rpm.   I don't know what Paul
revved the engines up to at Sun and Fun however:)  The standard Bell 47 PSRU
is rpm limited.  This is mainly because of the bearing and oiling system was
designed for  300 rpm output and heavy shear loads.
