Check valve? Where is the check valve?
Where do you live?
Run the engine at a steady 3000 RPM, 3500 RPM, 4000 RPM, 4500 RPM
and 5000 RPM. Record the vacuum readings at each RPM. And let me know
what they are?
Do you have EGT thermal couples and gages? If so record the EGT for
front and rear rotors at each RPM.
Do you have a wide band mixture monitor? If so record the readings
at each RPM.
(Run only unleaded auto fuel for initial testing and set up.)
Do you have any other kind of mixture monitor? Record that if available.
These are basic tools needed by any EFI system.
Please take some pictures of the vacuum can and send them to me.
What kind of crank angle sensor are you using? You can set the
EFI up on the bench and run the 2nd gen crank angle sensor with a drill
press to simulate a running engine. Use this vacuum pump which
you can buy in any automotive parts store to simulate
the vacuum to Tracy's computer. Place the injectors shooting
into jars and measure the amount of fuel you get out of each one
of the four.
It is possible your primary injectors are defective.
If all else fails you can take the injectors off and all
the plumbing and wiring and send it to me. I'll test it for
you. Tracy won't be back in Florida for another three weeks.
I don't need the crank angle sensor as I have one.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Paul
I tried a check valve connected to the vacuum port on the top of the 2"
intake between the slide throttle and engine.
The a/c is at Martinsburg, WV. I live in Northern Va.
I have taken the slide throttle off and am now trying a throttle body
but here is some info that I have from prior testiing:
vacuum went from an unsteady 10"-5" from 3000-4600 rpm.below 3000 the
engine chugged and sputtered and vacuum went to 5". EGT was 1600 at each
rotor at wot 4600 rpm and below 3000 rpm the EGT would show #1 at 1400
and #2 not registering. Then sometimes it would reverse with #2 at1400
and #1 not registering with the engine shaking.
I run unleaded fuel. The fuel/air gage can be brought to stoichiometric
above 3000 by use of the ECU mixture control but below that it is very
temperomental and will swing back and forth with the engine surges.
The crank angle sebser is stock.
I used another crank angle senser temporarily on the engine w/ the ECU
on and engine wiring and twirlled it by hand to check the spark and then
the injectors with coils disconnected. All plugs fired and all injectors
spurted fuel.
I tried running the engine with a vacuum pump connected to the vacuum
lines to simulate idle 13-15" hg but could not get it to idle steady.
I'll be going back out tomorrow to MRB and will take pictures. President
visit today.
